  1. Cut pumpkin, rutabaga, onion and garlic into small pieces and place in a pot with water. Add salt and spices and cook until ready.

  2. While the pumpkin is cooking, prepare the cereals separately.

  3. When the vegetables are soft, blend them. Add the cooked pearl barley, the finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes ( drain them of oil first) and the cream cheese and bring to the boil again.
